Today has been a kind of miserable day. I started a new medicine last night and today I have had a monster headache. All stinking day. I even took a nap in the middle of the day and it didn’t go away. Caffeine, nope. Aspirin, no. Tylenol, nope. GRRR. As long as I sit stationary it feels fine and I am having a hard time convincing myself I need to leave the couch. But I do need to run out to Wal-Mart tonight. It is four minutes from our house and it should take fifteen minutes tops. Must. motivate. self.
And for the rest of the night, I can sit here and stare at my Christmas stuff sitting in boxes inside my house instead of three feet away in the storage space outside. When it’s 15 degrees outside it’s hard to muster up any desire to go outside at all.
So much more comfortable to sit on the couch and watch The Office on DVD. 🙂
On a happy note, I made some soup tonight that I thought would be OK but Mr. V actually praised it, which is kind of unusual. I cooked some chicken thighs in water on the stovetop, then took them out and cut them up. Then I put them back in, added salt and pepper, herbs de Provence, celery salt, and a bay leaf. I dumped in a big can of Veg-all and a little can of diced tomatoes and let it all boil for awhile. And some extra frozen corn. It was all quite tasty and good for a freezing cold night.
