We realized after Adam started working on this that we really should have taken a before picture. This used to be a washed-out cream colored bassinet with baby blue trim. The inside was lined with something strange…I guess just the inside of whatever “wood” my grandpa made this from was papery and wouldn’t take the paint. It was also VERY dirty from sitting in my grandparents’ garage for a great many years!!
However, I am a sentimental sap. My daddy slept in this bassinet and that means a lot to me. So I asked Adam if he would clean and paint it. And this is what he did!! I think I was wrong about which one of us is the creative one.
As you can see, he painted it white, lined it with padding, covered it, and even gave it this pretty ribbon trim. I am impressed. And I can’t wait to have a little bitty baby sleeping inside it.
On another note, this is my 200th post! Wow!! I’ve been blogging for about 2 years, although much more regularly in the past year or so. Crazy to think about. So here’s to many more random thoughts and procrastination from doing anything productive in my house.
