Menu Plan Monday

I’m feeling … off this morning. And insanely sleepy. So I will proceed with this in the most boring, straightforward fashion and forgo the musings this morning.

Monday: John McCain’s Ribs, corn on the cob, salad
Tuesday: Ham and Hashbrown Bake (freeze half)
Wednesday: church (spaghetti)
Thursday: salad supper at church
Friday: Mexican Unstuffed Shells
Saturday: Orange Marmalade Tilapia, rice, broccoli/cauliflower blend
Sunday: Leftovers

(I borrowed liberally from the menus at Once a Month Mom this week. Thanks, Trish and Cortney! And can I mention I am SO EXCITED Meredith and I are planning to do our own Once a Month Cooking BIG DAY!)

I spent $42.50 before tax this week (looking at my receipt, I think my ribs cost more than I thought they did. I have a bad habit of not checking my receipt at the store–bad plan!!).

Here’s what I got this week (at Kroger):

orange juice
4 c. shredded cheddar
yo-plus 4-pk yogurt (coupon)
marmalade
Kroger brand Pop-Tarts
frozen fruit popsicles
pasta shells
2 pk. Ortega taco seasoning (for .52!)
4 lbs. pork country-style ribs
2 cans “healthy” cream of mushroom
3 lemons
1 bag salad
bag frozen tilapia fillets
1.1 lb. apples
1 can tomato sauce
4 ears corn
1 lb. ground turkey
soy sauce
