16 Months

Lately, she drives me a whole lot of crazy. We’re still adjusting, and adjusting, and adjusting. Everyone is, though, right? Life with a constantly growing child is one big adjustment.

It does help that she’s so insanely cute.

But I often wonder what happened to this little cherub who rarely cried and let me hold her all the time.

I suppose this is what they call baby fever.

Send help.

  1. But that little cherub didn't light up when you walked into the room, or say "momma," or play with fun toys. (Of course I'm not saying she wasn't adorable then. She and her little bald head were very cute.) Every age will have its perks…cherish these moments!

  2. OH Jessie, I can so relate!! And honestly this is one of the biggest battles for me with losing weight. I feel like I'm in that stage with Megan that every day is a new adjustment!! Coupled with the fact that every other week we're having a snow day down here & Evan's out of school and we have absolutely NO ROUTINE right now in our house!! It's hard. (And you'll see some of this same language on my friday link-up post b/c it's been in draft since last friday – ha!). I need things to be in control and in order & the 1 1/2 year old for someone reason wants control too … but on her terms. *And this season too shall pass* 🙂

  3. Thanks for sharing it is nice to know others are going through the same thing. I am always telling myself once we get through this it will be better but there is always something. I have a 4 month old and an 18 month old. We go through the same thing each day and I am trying to just take one day at the time and enjoy each crazy moment!

  4. Ah – the baby fever.

    I know it well. 🙂 It's a blessing and a curse.

The baby fever, I mean. We all know that the actual baby is nothing but sheer, joyful blessing. 🙂

On a side note, I love it when I look in my reader and see you have a new post up!

  5. I get baby fever so often that my husband has forbidden me to be friends with anyone who is pregnant or who may be at any point in the future. 🙂 Apparently, he thinks three is enough…

  6. It appears that every single person has baby fever at the moment. Including me. I wasn't going to write that, because everyone else that commented did, but such is "baby fever"; it's everything you think about, dwell on, breathe in, contemplate, and desire. And then my 3 year old hits the dog with a baseball bat, and I feel my uterus shut closed. But only for a second, because then he smiles, and all bets are off. I get what you're going through lady! And your daughter isn't just cute, she's ridiculously, adorably, insanely beautiful.
