Losing It: Week 3

All I can say about this week is I don’t really want to talk about it. You can read here for a little bit about what is going on right now and why I will be MIA for a while.

That said, I did buy a new scale on Monday and from Tuesday to this morning it said I lost .66%. It is also weighing higher than my other scale, but oh well. So if I add the weight I lost in week 1 to this new weight (I know, it’s weird), it would be a total of 1.59%.

I ain’t gonna win with those numbers!

I really thought this contest would push me harder. I do think about what I am eating all the time, but it’s not been a good week for working out (possibly because Libbie hasn’t been napping).

  1. I'm so sorry to hear about your grandma!!

    As for the weight loss efforts, tomorrow is a new day. Every day. We can do this – no matter how stressful life is! (However, please know that I have to tell myself the same darned thing, because the second life gets tough, I turn to food, food and more food. Ack!)

  2. Praying for you and your family… as for the weight loss, I'm with you, stuck at .83%… don't beat yourself up over it. It is rough with babies who don't sleep! (and life in general!) But, at least you've made a little progress, and that is what counts!

  3. I'm so sorry about your Grandmother. Such a hard thing. Don't stay discouraged, every day is fresh with no mistakes in it. Your family is in my thoughts as you travel.

    Now for my question. You have a scale that calculates % of weight loss? What other info does it give you (I'm assuming pounds that you weigh). Is the old saying true that there's no such thing as a stupid question? Or did I just debunk that theory I wonder?

    I started Weight Watchers online this week. I am using South Beach principles, but I needed a little more accountability. I've already felt that little kick of momentum that I needed and I just pray that it holds on. I really love the program so far and I think paying to use it will be motivation enough 🙂

  7. Hi, Jessie, it's at stressful times like these when you have to give yourself some grace. You'll get back on track after you make it through this crisis, and you didn't exactly blow it either. Sorry about this difficult time in your family. Will be praying.


  8. You are the best for answering my question! I had a space-aged looking scale in my head that calculates pounds, percentage, hair color, etc. Ha!

  10. To all of you who posted about Jessie's grandma, thank you. She's my mother. Jess, we can get through this without eating all the wrong things. Watch out for road food…
