Jen is having one of her Frugalista Fashion Shows today, so I thought I would share with you some recent thrift-store finds. (Even if that means I have to share pictures of myself …)

I found this skirt at Goodwill the other night as they were closing. It was $4! When I got to the register they told me they had JUST put it out. I love the fun pattern but I really need a black cardigan or something to wear on top.

This shirt was new from Ann Taylor LOFT, so I know it wasn’t frugal. But I’ve had it for a good 4 years–and I think my mom bought it for me anyway. 😉

My Nine West shoes were found at Marti and Liz, which sells store cast-offs for cheaper.

My necklace is from The Vintage Pearl–but I won it from a blog giveaway!

Same Goodwill trip, I picked up this cute Christopher and Banks sweater for $6. I love red! The jeans are my same Vigoss ones I found at a small thrift store last year for $7. (And the only jeans I have that I like, sadly.)

And my cute new boots came last week from One Stop Plus, where a coupon code helped me score them for $17. They are SO comfy and warm!

Same trip, I also picked up an Austin and Ashley dress for Libbie for $2.50. As far as I can tell, their clothes retail for $30-$50 new!

I will say it pains me a little bit to show you pictures of myself. But I don’t think I look too bad for 5 and a half weeks postpartum.

Any good thrift store finds for you lately?

  1. Great finds, and don't be ashamed of your photos! I see a beautiful and strong mama who spreads love and inspiration to people she's never met. Keep smiling!

  2. YOU look FABULOUS!!!! And I wish I could meet your sweet blessing. Thanks so much for joining in.

  3. You look great!!! You must have a nice Goodwill. All I ever find here is junk, even for the kiddos! Maybe you could shop for me? Just kidding! Way to go on the bargains!

  4. Work it!!!! And I've said it before, but I'll say it again, red is your color. You OWN it!

We miss you here! I've met several people who asked about you as soon as they learned I live in chatt!

  5. I LOVE that red sweater! Thrift & ministry store finds are my favorite kinds, and my kids all grew up valuing that resource as well. And I think you look great!

  6. Found you this morning off 'balancing beauty and bedlam'. Thrift stores are the best places to shop. I've got my kids going too. Your jeans fit so well. I thought you looked beautiful, if a little tired, but the new baby explains that! You are so brave to put photos of yourself up any time. We have an agreement at our house that no photos go up for privacy reasons.

  7. I’m so glad I found you. I think it was a guest post you did for Nony at AslobComesClean. I too have suffeted from depression nearly all my life. Then in 2006 I was diagnosed with bipolar. So not fun. Also been told I’m too loud, too emotional, too much by 2 husbands and my aunts who are my age. Lots of hurt there. Anyway, thank you for being willing to share your life with us, so we know we are not alone. I will be following you.

    • I appreciate you taking the time to comment. I am glad you found me and hope my words bring you some help and healing. I understand way too well being “too emotional” and how little one can really help it!
