What I Wore Wednesday 7.31.13

I still haven’t gotten used to taking pictures every day. Mostly because I’m embarrassed to ask my husband to do it and we have three kids who might destroy our home/kill each other if we go outside for 2 minutes.

But here’s what I got.

tank: Christopher and Banks (similar). skirt: White Stag, via my sister (LOVE this similar one on Etsy).

This might not be THE most attractive outfit ever, but Libbie told me it was the most beautiful skirt in the world. And is there anything more comfortable than a lightweight peasant skirt?

top: Kiyonna Laila top in peacock via Gwynnie Bee. pants: Worthington Classic Curvy Fit in denim. shoes: Naturalizer via thrift store (similar flat). Gorgeous necklace: gift made by Erin.

This is my first time trying Kiyonna clothes. I think a lot of their pieces are adjustable to cinch your waist. Being an hourglass, I LOVE that! I adored this top and would definitely consider buying some of their pieces in the future.

And after weeks of, “I REALLY love your outfit” when I saw some friends in the baby nursery at church, I finally spilled about Gwynnie Bee to them to explain why I have such fabulous clothes all of a sudden. They both thought it was an awesome idea, too!

top: Studio Works Pebble print tee (Bon-Ton). pants: Christopher and Banks. sandals: Bass outlet.

In the spirit of keeping it real, about an hour ago I was like oh, snap, I need another picture. This is what I wore today to go get the kids’ pictures taken and just do housework. Nothing special … but I’m not a total scrub, so that’s good, right?

Should I keep doing these posts? Or are you bored with my everyday, stay-at-home mommy “style”?

  1. I really enjoy your posts. I love Kiyonna clothes. They’re expensive but last and they are so flattering! I tend to buy it on sale too. Sizing is consistent and good range of colors.

    • Yes, they’re a little pricey. I saw some pieces on Overstock the other day! Not a whole lot of discount, but some. They do seem high quality though, and very flattering. I will probably invest in a couple of pieces in the future.

  2. I love the posts. Your “stay at home mommy” style is nicer than some of our staff dresses here at the university. That teal – and that pretty cut – are perfect for you. Love the necklace as well.

    • Thanks! I really love aqua/turquoisey colors on me – well, all jewel tones, I guess. Not a pastel kinda girl!

I enjoy dressing as a SAHM way more than I did when I worked. I was always freezing in my office so it was difficult to dress weather-appropriate.

  3. That peacock colored shirt looks fantastic on you…probably my most favorite outfit of yours yet. I am enjoying these posts (I’ve just been too lazy to comment…sorry!)
