Happy WIWW! I don’t have a lot from this week, because I was IN BED a lot, yo. Mastitis totally knocked me out for at least four days.
This is actually last Tuesday night. You can tell I don’t feel great, but I made a little effort because Mr. V and I were meeting my sister’s boyfriend for the first time. I wore this top a few times as maternity, but it’s really not a maternity top and I’m glad it still looks cute as a normal, loose-fitting shirt. I’m somewhat obsessed with the Wedgewood-plate pattern on it!
Top: INC via GwynnieBee (similar, similar). Pants: Jones New York Lean Bootcut in white (the right size now!). Sandals: Bass outlet wedges. Purse: student’s mom gave it to me! Earrings: local jeweler.
I am crazy about this peplum top! I felt very nautical with the navy and white stripes and my red purse. I wish I could find a skinny belt for the top – I have a hot pink one … somewhere. But it was cute without it. Which is why I wore the top again to church on Sunday before I sent it back to GwynnieBee …
Red, white, and blue? Yes ma’am! I can’t decide which pants I liked this better with. Either way, I’m definitely giving peplum more of a chance in the future! I wasn’t sure it would work with my wider hips, but in this very thin and flowy fabric it was perfect.
And you almost can’t tell how tired I am.
BTW, have I mentioned lately how these Odell flats cost $7.50 at Target? Love them.
Have you worn peplum? I will confess I didn’t even KNOW what it was until Erin started talking about it on her own blog. It’s just that a-line part on the bottom of the shirt.
