dress: Merona. belt: old Lane Bryant. necklace: Charming Charlie. flat: diba girl (under $2 at thrift store!) [similar fun green flats]

I just got this dress on the clearance racks at Target. I’m a big fan! It will be perfect with a cardigan or jean jacket for fall, too. I will probably pair with red, but for church I went for these new kelly green flats I found at the thrift store.

The dress comes with a skinny belt, but I felt like I needed a wider belt since I am a little … wider. I am sure I will wear the skinnier belt with something else, though.

top: OLD Ana (JCP). jeans: Vigoss. flats: Mossimo Odell in black.

I decided to give this top one last spin today and see if I still liked it or not. It’s at least 4 years old and I have worn it a lot. I like the purple but I’m not sure about the style anymore.

Joshua gave his opinion by covering it in spit-up, so I wore a different top the rest of the day.

That’s all I have, unless you want to talk about Libbie’s latest Naartjie Kids dress.

It’s their denim and print smocked dress. LOVE. It is on sale for $10! I’m thinking she’ll probably be able to wear it next year, too, since they run a little big. I got her a few other summer pieces for next year for $3 and $5 too. Woohoo!

Do you try to buy for next year at the end of the season?

  1. OOH that striped dress! Love it! And can’t wait to see other ways you wear that. I agree — jean jacket, different shoe, maybe even layering something under it (idk if it would work, but maybe fun to try) for cooler weather…seems like a really versatile dress and it looks great on you.

Also, I like that belt with it.

For kids things, if I can find some really great things on clearance I do try to buy ahead — especially things that they can layer in case I get a season wrong. And, if I find a *really* good deal on something like boys pants, I will buy a few sizes. They are hard to find in larger sizes at consignment (though it’s possible).
