Saturday Linky Love button

Good Friday evening, all! We had friends over for dinner, so a late bedtime after a long day, but it was fun. Really struggling on the parenting today and I could use your prayers!

We are excited about this weekend, as we go to a friend’s wedding tomorrow and church on Sunday. What are you up to this weekend?

Here are my favorite links of the week.

Reading offline: Working on Lolita and The Interestings by Meg Wolitzer.

So, what did you read that was great this week? Link up here. You can grab the code for the button in the sidebar, if you want. Please link back here and add the PERMALINK to your post, not your home page.

  1. Re: strong willed children
I’ve been reading a book called Easy to Love, Difficult to Dicipline. Love it! It has codified the way I want to parent and gives me a clear way to parent with respect. It sets me up to help and teach my child, not be the adversary he tries to rebel against. It has really helped to stop the power struggles and years in my house (mine!!!). I think that your Libby and my Ty have similar personalities and I think that you and I have similar personalities, so I would **highly** recommend. The change in out home has been drastic!

  2. That daughters and dating post is excellent – I’ve saved it to share for next week.

We have a strong willed child. The best book I’ve found for this (and one of my favorite parenting books in general) is Boundaries with Kids by Henry Cloud & John Townsend. Best wishes to you (from a former strong willed child!)
