Cooking Marathon: “Bread with Your Own Hands”

Date: April 13

Format: Online + photo/video-sharing in the club chat room.

This marathon has become a real holiday for everyone who loves the smell of fresh baked goods and the warmth of the kitchen. We decided to dedicate the meeting to bread – a simple but very warm symbol of coziness, care and home warmth.

A few days before the event, the participants shared their favorite recipes: from grandma’s custard bread to minimalist chabatta. The morning of the marathon began with the kneading of dough, aromas of spices and family stories.

What it was like:

  • In the chat shared photos of the stages of preparation: the dough under the towel, the first crust in the oven, the crunch on the slice.
  • In the evening – a mini-meeting: everyone showed what turned out, told about the recipe and why it is dear to her.

What was baked:

  • Ciabatta with olive oil and rosemary;
  • Rustic rye bread on sourdough;
  • Crusty white with a crispy crust, based on a recipe from an old cookbook;
  • Focaccia with dried tomatoes;
  • Honey bread with walnuts.

Special moments:

  • One participant baked bread for the first time and admitted she was afraid of the dough – but she did it well and it was her personal victory.
  • Another shared a recipe that she inherited from her mom and is now passing it on to her daughter.

Bread was an occasion not only to bake, but also to remember how important it is to do something with heart and for others. It was a day of simple joys, flavors of childhood and new culinary discoveries.
